The hotel is relatively close to the train station. Good directions were given in advance to walk to the hotel. Breakfast was very good. It mostly consisted of croissants and cakes, but adequate meat and cheese were also available. The staff was very nice. On our last morning, it started to rain as we were leaving for the train station and we were very kindly offered a ride so we wouldn't get wet.

The ancient Etrurian city of Perugia forms a unique and romantic pattern, and is surrounded by green hills. Perugia’s Old Town still houses several hotels and restaurants that are centuries old.
The city has a vibrant cultural life and is home to several important institutions, such as the renowned local university, the University for Foreigners, and other institutes. The International Journalism Festival, the Umbria Jazz, and the Eurochocolate Festival are major annual activities. Check the hotel availability in advance if you’re planning to visit Italy and Perugia around those dates.
Don’t miss the remains of the Rocca Paolina fortress and its underground medieval streets. Regarded as one of Italy's best buildings, Palazzo dei Priori encompasses the Collegio del Cambio, Collegio della Mercanzia, and the National Gallery. Trasimeno Lake is 22 km away.

I really enjoyed the Art Museum and shopping experience.
I really enjoyed the Art Museum and shopping experience. I also had a couple of fabulous meals and enjoyed a relaxing time in the piazza with fresh squeezed orange juice. I walked around a lot and experienced the public market on Saturday. I would have enjoyed more than my 1.5 day stay, but it was enough to give me a feel for the place. l

It is a wonderful historic city.
It is a wonderful historic city. Although it is perched on high ground it is very accessible through public escalators in various parts of the city and with a minimetro from the Perugia station right up to the top at a very small price. Very convenient.

Nice , quaint city, the best was not having many tourists like nearby Assisi. many good restaurants to choose from (old city). being perched on a top of a hill , you need to be prepared to walk/climb quite a bit (but worth the effort)

Historic town with many historic buildings.
Historic town with many historic buildings. Easy to travel by mini metro and rail to Assisi. A shuttle bus operates to take visitors up to the old town. Lots of eating facilities and many restaurants. We used Perugia as a base from which we could visit Assisi.

A very picturesque, historical old town with plenty of cafes and restaurants; Uphill climb into the town centre is massively helped by the open air escalators and elevators; driving in the ZTL (very narrow streets) and parking in the centre is an issue (no possibility to book a parking space in advance) - but it may have been due to the increased inflow of tourists during the Umbria Jazz Festival

Perugia is not only a great city in itself but also a great base to explore the wonders of Umbria and even Tuscany. We had a week there and spent three days in the city itself sight seeing and shopping - highlights included the amazing new gallery, practically empty, the amazing Nobile Collegio del Cambio frescoed by Perugino, the medieval aquaduct that you can walk along and of course the Perugina chocolate factory (reached by Bus A from the Bus or train station if you don't have a car.) We also went on day trips to Gubbio, Lake Trasimeno and Spoleto by bus or train. I will be back as there were many other places that I would like to visit and Perugia makes a convenient hub. We also always found welcoming restaurants to eat in the evening and even got quite a few new clothes.
A stylish room with a comfortable bed, a massage chair and a CD player with jazz music. Equipped with air conditioning, safe and small fridge. Spacious bathroom with bathtub and separate shower.
Nice and helpful staff. Good breakfast, great wine which could be ordered at the bar by the reception. Large two-level car park. Nice location for hiking in Perugia, but access to the center is uphill :)
There is a grocery store and an ice cream shop near the hotel.
If you are lucky enough, and this apartment is available - grab it! Only 15 minutes drive from the historic center of Perugia, the apartment offers a comfortable and luxurious space, with 2 large bedrooms, a spacious public space, stunning interior design and a fully equipped kitchen. Breathtaking views from the balcony! Someone really thought of all the small details. Perhaps the best place we stayed in during our long stay in Italy.
It's on a quaint, steep old street very close to the center of Perugia, and looks out onto a park and a beautiful landscape beyond. The bedroom was comfortable and had cross ventilation due to having two windows.
There's a small terrace (not facing the street) with a table and two chairs.
The kitchen seemed to have all new appliances.
Luca, the owner, was very helpful in showing us where to park and helping us with our bags.
Beautiful, modern hotel with a classic, full-service hotel vibe. Cute bar in the lobby. Off-street parking both for check-in and overnight - a huge plus in dense central Perugia. Room was beautifully decorated, great lighting and seating, bed was great, bathroom had a great shower and fun lighting. Location is great - a few steps from the escalators taking you to the ancient core of the city. We really, really liked this hotel!
It was a good value and really perfect if you are driving as it has a parking lot. The room was clean, though it felt a little dated. The front desk staff were great, very polite and accommodating. it was also nice that they had a restaurant This is rare but really great because the hotel is not central. The food was good. The chef knows how to cook. There is a bit of a walk if you want to go to a nice place to eat.
Location was great. It was very easy to walk around the old part of the city with many shops and restaurants nearby. The room was very clean, quiet, and comfortable. We went for the Giro d'Italia and the hotel was just half a block from the race course. We arrived in Perugia by train and took a bus to a stop just a block or so from the hotel. The people who run the hotel are very nice.
Very nice little hotel well located in the old town of Perugia.
The hotel is beautifully decorated and the staff very helpful.
The breakfast is very nice and very generous.
Just one thing to bear in mind for people travelling by car, the hotel is located in the old town and access by car is restricted so be prepared to carry your bags around before you reach the hotel.
The location in Perugia included a stunning view. It was easy walking distance to the center. Perugia is a beautiful, well kept, medieval town. The hotel is perched at the top. Walking up and down the hills was optional, but it was the perfect location to do so. I loved this hotel. It is elegant, beautiful rooms, and a perfect location.
Location is very central in old city centre near restaurants etc.
Hotel service was good and they were very helpfull.
Few minutes away there is an escalator that takes you to a Mini Metro station/service which takes you to the train station. From the train station (Perugia station) you can travel around to different locations nearby.
We loved everything! The location, the amenities, the comfortable accommodation, and the incredible view!
We appreciated the host being very thoughtful and providing all the necessary information upon arrival. The host checked in with us to make sure all was well. I highly recommend NIMA for a fantastic stay in Perugia.
The room was beautiful, location was excellent , we felt very safe, the breakfast was outstanding—the best of all the hotels we stayed at in Italy for the two weeks we were there (lots of fresh fruit, eggs, delicious pastries, and a waffle maker!), and the staff was super friendly and helpful.
Great walkable location.
We were disappointed we had to pay 30 Euros to park which increased the cost of our stay.
Breakfast was wonderful!
Room clean , staff very nice.
Would recommend you don’t try to drive a car here. It’s on the ZTL zone as you approach hotel, very confusing!
A very elegant hotel in a good location in the historic part of Perugia.
My room was spacious with top quality bedding. The bathroom was refurbished and a little quirky. I enjoyed the luxury of a deep bath.
A simple Italian breakfast was served in the restaurant.
Nice authentic hotel at a perfect location for visiting Perugia. Rooms are a little dark due to blends(could only open one). Staff is very helpful especially with the parking and the terras is well suited for a breakfast or an afternoon drink
The hotel is 2 mins from the escalators and close to great cafe bars also the churches. Access to the hotel grounds and car park was locked at midnight and so the property felt secure. The staff were very friendly and super helpful.
Optimal location - very central. A lot of character in the hotel. Free parking pass available. Decent italian breakfast. Easy check-in and check-out. Friendly staff gave tips on what to see in the city.
For me the location was critical 5 minutes drive from the Hospital. The Hotel is clean well maintained. The fodd was excelent. Both breakfast and dinner. Lot of parking The staff was very friendly.
The staff is extremely helpful and the place is comfortable. Hotel Lauri is a walking distance from all main cultural sites in Perugia. We had a very good breakfast.
Superb location. Easy walk into town and not far from mini metro. Loved the house, great start to our Italy vacation.easy access to train station by mini metro.
